BLACK SKULL TUTORIAL






Supplies needed:

I used Arthur Crowe's tube for this tutorial. You can purchase his art here.
Scrapkit: I am using AmyMarie's kit called "Black Skull" which you can get here.

Template 6 from Millie which can be found here

Mask 344 from Weescotslass Creations which you can find here.

This tutorial is written for those who have working knowledge of PSPX2 (any version will do).

Ok - let's start and remember to save often.

Open the template and using your shortcut keys on your keyboard (SHIFT+D) duplicate the template as a new image. Close the original and delete the copywrite layer.

Select the Circle 1 layer

Select all, float, and defloat

Paste paper8 as a new layer and resize 80%

Invert your selection and hit delete

Select none

Delete/Hide original circle layer

Select Circle frame 2

Select all, float, and defloat

Add new raster layer and flood fill with #fff428

Adjust Add/Remove Noise, Add Noise (Uniform checked, 75%, Monochrome checked)

Hide/delete original circle frame

Select rectangle 7

Select all, float and defloat

Add a new raster layer

Flood fill with gradient of choice at linear style, Angle 45, Repeat 0

Copy close up tube of choice and paste on top of gradient

Select invert and delete

Select none

Change closeup to Luminance (Legacy)

Apply Xero Bad Dream to close-up at setting of choice

Drop the opacity on close-up down to about 70

Apply dropshadow and merge down

Apply Effects, Texture effect, Blinds at Width 2, Opacity 15

Delete/Hide original rectangle layer

Select rectangle 5

Select all, float, defloat

Paste paper13 as a new layer resize paper by 80%

Invert your selection and hit delete

Select none

Delete/Hide original rectangle layer

Select small square 6 layer

Select all, float, and defloat

Add new raster layer and fill with black

Delete/Hide original square layer

Select Rectangle 4 layer

Select all, float, defloat

Add new raster layer and fill with yellow

Delete/Hide original rectangle layer

Select Rectangle layer 3

Select all, float, defloat

Add new raster layer and fill with gradient (Style linear, Angle 0, Repeat 12)

Delete/Hide original rectangle layer

Copy and paste tube of choice and position where desired

Apply Xero Radiance at setting of choice

Apply Lokas 3D Shadow

Select bottom layer and add new raster layer

Flood fill with gradient of choice (Style linear, Angle 45, Repeat 7)

Apply WSL mask

Merge group and move to the bottom

Add wordart and postion as desired. I colorized it to match and applied a gradient glow. Rotate it left about 15.

Select Wire2 element from kit - resize 75% and paste above the mask layer

Select Cityskyline1 Element and paste above rectangle raster 3 layer- resize about 95%

Add any additional elements you like.

Add any dropshadows you like

Crop and resize as desired

Add copyright info, license number and name and you're done!

RACIN GIRL STYLE TUTORIAL

Delete/Hide original rectangle layer

Select Rectangle Left layer

Repeat above steps with same paper

Select none

Delete/Hide original rectangle layer

Select Long Rectangle Left layer

Select all, float, and defloat

Paste paper9 as a new layer and resize by 80 percent

Invert your selection and hit delete

Delete/Hide original rectangle layer

Select Long Rectangle Right layer

Repeat above steps with same paper

Select Round Rectangle layer

Select all, float and defloat

Add a new raster layer

Flood fill with gradient of choice at linear style, Angle 45, Repeat 0

Copy close up tube of choice and paste on top of gradient

Select invert and delete

Select none

Change closeup to Luminance (Legacy)

Apply Xero Bad Dream to close-up at setting of choice

Drop the opacity on close-up down to about 55

Apply dropshadow and merge down

Apply Effects, Texture effect, Blinds at Width 2, Opacity 15

Delete/Hide original rectangle layer

Select Round Rectangle Right

Repeat above steps

Select Circle Left

Apply Effect, Texture Effects, Weave (Settings: Gap Size 2, Width 7, Opacity 10, check fill gaps, change gap color to color of choice)

Select Circle Right

Apply same settings as above

Copy and paste tube of choice and position where desired

Apply Xero Radiance at setting of choice

Apply Lokas 3D Shadow

Select Element 44 from kit - resize 90% and paste above the Circle right layer

Duplicate the element and apply flip and mirror

Select Element 53 and paste at the bottom - resize about 95%

Select Element 15 and paste just above the bottom layer - Image rotate 90 degrees left and mirror

Reposition element and duplicate then flip and mirror

Add any additional elements you like.

Add any dropshadows you like

Crop and resize as desired

Add copyright info, license number and name and you're done!

Delete/Hide original circle layer

Select rectangle raster 1 layer

Select all, float, and defloat

Paste paper3 as a new layer

Invert your selection and hit delete

Select none

Delete/Hide original rectangle layer

Select rectangle raster layer 7

Repeat above steps with same paper

Select none

Delete/Hide original rectangle layer

Select rectangle raster layer 5

Select all, float, and defloat

Again paste paper9 as a new layer and resize by 80 percent

Invert your selection and hit delete

Change tube to Luminance (Legacy)

Apply Xero Bad Dream to tube at setting of choice

Drop the opacity on close-up down to about 60

Apply dropshadow and merge down

Apply Effects, Texture effect, Blinds at Width 2, Opacity 15

Select star layer 2

Select all, float, defloat

Add new raster layer and flood fill with color of choice

Add Adjust, Add/Remove Noise, Add Noise (Settings: Uniform, Noise 50%, Monochrome checked) hit ok

Apply Eyecandy 4000 Glass, Click on Bevel Profile tab and select Subtle Button. Apply at default settings.

Add Eyecandy 4000 Gradient Glow (Glow Width 3, Click on color tab: choose fat setting and pick whatever colors you prefer).

Select Star raster 3

Select all, float, and defloat

Add new raster layer and floodfill with color of choice

Add Adjust, Add/Remove Noise, Add Noise (Settings: Uniform, Noise 50%, Monochrome checked) hit ok

Delete/Hide original star raster

Select word raster 4

Add new raster layer and flood fill with color of choice

While still on word raster layer 4, Select all, float,defloat

Select layer you just flood filled and select invert and delete

Hide/Delete original word layer

Select other original word raster layer and repeat above directions

Copy and paste tube of choice and position where desired

Apply Xero Radiance at setting of choice

Apply Lokas 3D Shadow

Add any elements you like. I added IRock_fencepart2 to the bottom of tag and resized at about 80%

Add any dropshadows you like

Crop and resize as desired

Add copyright info, license number and name and you're done!
